SOBTI & SOBTI is the genesis of three generations of entrepreneurial investors, building on the humble beginnings of a personal investment in real estate by Om Prakash SOBTI in 1969. With very basic education qualifications but a lot of business acumen, O.P. SOBTI had the foresight to invest in the post-Independence resurgent India. He took his son, Kuldeep SOBTI under his wing, who then went on to establish a solid foundation of self-sustaining investments in the country. Pradeep and Akshay are the third generation, internationally educated and in-charge of growing the investment portfolio globally. Together, they have a team with a proven track record of success in achieving superior returns through investment, development, asset enhancement, and operations.

A thoroughbred entrepreneur, Kuldeep SOBTI started out very young spending most of his time traveling around with his father as he ventured to make small investments in real estate.

The journey to success was laden with incessant toil and a daily fight against tremendous odds. During this time, Kuldeep developed his entrepreneurial flair observing his father during negotiations. Kuldeep’s strength became his ability to understand the needs and desires of the business traveller – mainly, to provide a comforting night’s sleep to the weary traveller. This was a winning formula in the post-independence India as the business and economic foundations started to get laid. Keen financial acumen drove Kuldeep to expand his investments into fast-moving residential and commercial real estate. Today, Kuldeep SOBTI is a mentor to SOBTI & SOBTI and his two sons Pradeep and Akshay.

Pradeep SOBTI is responsible for identifying and qualifying investment opportunities, specifically risk-reward and market analysis, finance, partnership structuring, and negotiations. His judgement of sound investment is not just based on the return on investment, but also the organisational culture, a customer-first mindset, and medium to long-term employee commitment to the business.

Pradeep has a variety of business and management experience under his belt, having worked across the global banking and forex management, hospitality, and furniture manufacturing industries in the U.K. and India. Pradeep holds a Masters in International Finance from the University of Westminster (London) and a Bachelors in Business Management from the London South Bank University.

Akshay SOBTI is responsible for raising capital, structuring acquisitions, and overseeing the onsite operational management to improve profitability through value enhancement strategies, effective team building and engaging industry best practice. Akshay is known for his creative out-of-the-box approaches to enhancing the marketability of the firm’s hospitality sector investments.

A hands-on investor-entrepreneur, Akshay has trained at The Buckingham Palace serving Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family. With over a decade of experience also spanning fusion restaurants in London and home-grown restaurants in India, he really appreciates a disciplined work ethic and the value of personalised service. Akshay holds a Bachelors in Hospitality Management & Food Studies from Thames Valley University, London.
